Why I Chose This Topic Why have I chosen sand cats? Well, my general area of interest is felineology, because any type of feline is amazing. Any cats I automatically love. But anyways, I chose sand cats because they used to be my favorite animal, and then I think I started to like fennec foxes more, and then I kinda just forgot about sand cats. But the other day when I was looking for different types of felines, I came across sand cats and it made me remember how much I used to love them, so that is why I am doing sand cats. Also they are adorable so I don’t know how you couldn’t like them.
Science Concept
So I learned a lot of things about sand cats, while doing this project. Sand cats are one of the few wild cat species that live completely in the desert. They have large ears and thickly furred pads that allow them to have special adaptations so they can detect underground prey and survive in extreme environments and condition.
Application
You should study sand cats because, if you are a huge cat lover like me, you will definitely want to look into them. They are adorable, fluffy, and have big eyes. I especially love it when any cats have big eyes, because it makes them so adorable. Back to sand cats, they have super fluffy fur, which makes it all the much better.
Career Path
So, there isn’t really a career about sand cats, so I have to do the general area of feline study, which is called Felinology. Felinology is the study of felines (cats) which is pretty obvious, but whatever. The term is originated from Latin-Greek, and is concerned with studying the anatomy, genetics, physiology, and of breeding of domestic and wild cats. A well known felinologist is Dr. Mikel Delgado, which is funny because my cousin has a dog named Delgado.
