I chose the Pacific Ocean because I have always loved water and it is so calm and soothing. And it is just so satisfying to listen to the waves and find all sorts of shells and some shark teeth. It is so cool and underwater is even better, all the awesome life under there and its natural beauties. I just can't wait to learn all about the ocean and all the life in it and around it.
Science Concept
The pacific ocean is the largest and deepest ocean, and its depth is 36,000 feet. It is located between the continents of Asia and Australia on the west and North America and South America on the east. The reason that the pacific ocean is so blue is because of the absorption and scattering of light. The deepest part of the pacific ocean is called challenger deep, it is located beneath the western pacific ocean in the southern end of the Mariana trench.
Application You should study the pacific ocean because it is one of God's wonders and beauties and it deserves to be studied. You will not believe how many amazing wonders like animals and plants are in the ocean, and there are so many species that we still have not discovered. When you are researching the Pacific ocean you will find cool stuff that not many people know like; another name for the basin of the Pacific ocean is called the Ring of Fire, and the most dangerous and most deadly animal in the Pacific is the killer whale or an Orca. You will learn about waves, sand, and tsunamis and they are all part of gods creation.
Career Path
A person who studies the ocean is an oceanographer. Oceanographers search for valuable sea-floor deposits, investigate places for stuff like sea farming. Oceanographers in academic institutions usually work in places like colleges, universities and some museums. Some study plants and animals in the marine environment, they want to learn stuff like how they develop, how they relate to other sea creatures, and how they adapt to their environment and other things like that.
