Saturn

Famous Scientist
A famous scientist who studied Saturn is Christiaan Huygens. He was born on April 14, 1629, in The Hague, Netherlands, and was born into a wealthy family.Christiaan stayed and worked in The Hague, Netherlands. As a child Christiaan did not go to school but was taught by his teachers at his home. He was shown early on  to be a bright pupil. In 1645 went to the university of Leiden to study mathematics and law. In 1654-1655 christian and his brother Constantijn began to manufacture telescopes and improved them.

In 1655, using his own telescope discovered  Saturn's biggest moon, later to be named Titan, and he was the first to discover that Saturn's rings are indeed rings. In 1957 Christiaan Huygens invented the pendulum clock, which at its time was the best clock because its great ability    to easily tell time. Christiaan eventually died on July 8, 1695.
Career
A company that I would be able to work at is SpaceX. SpaceX is located in Starbase, Texas. SpaceX was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk. If I worked there as an intern I would have to  get on a bus that arrives at the intern apartment at 7: 45. Then I would arrive at 8:20 and have to get to my desk. Then I would have to check the status of last night's analysis and maybe change some parameters and get new ones. Then I would wait until the rest of my team arrived at around 10:00.  Then, I would talk to the engineers about my analysis and share current results. While my analysis is still running I would wrap up the documents for another analysis. Then I would take it to another engineer who looks at my conclusions then signs me of the task and then assigns me a new task
Around noon I have about an hour lunch break. Then after my lunch break I get right back to work and do the same process for a couple of hours. Then the analysis from the morning is done. Then I go and talk to an engineer and they would say that they were pleased or not pleased depending on how well I did. Then I track down the people I need to talk to, so I can gain some insights. Then I would go back to my desk and fill out some documents. Then I can go grab dinner at 7:00 and take whatever I got at the place back to my desk. Then the bus would drive me back to my intern dorm. I would have a 10-12 hour shift and make a salary of $30-35 dollars an hour or $50,000-$70,000  a year.
Concept & Application
Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and the second largest in our solar system. Saturn is a massive ball mostly made of hydrogen and helium. The Saturn system is a rich source of scientific discovery and still holds many mysteries. Saturn is named after the Roman god Saturn. Saturn is the god of agriculture and wealth. Some of Saturn's moons have a small possibility for life. You can fit about 764 Earths inside of Saturn.Saturn has the second shortest day in our solar system which is only 10 hours, and it takes 29 Earth years for Saturn to fully orbit the sun. As Saturn is orbiting the sun it sits in an axis which is 26.83 degrees which is very similar to Earth's which is 23.5 degrees which means that Saturn also experiences seasons like us. Being a gas giant like Jupiter, they share many characteristics. Saturn has a strong magnetic field generated by churning metallic hydrogen deep inside, raging storms in its gaseous upper atmosphere. Saturn's rings and moons are even visible from a small backyard telescope. Saturn's rings are mostly made out of chunks of water ice ranging in size from dust specks to mountains to houses. Saturn's rings are thought to be formed from asteroids and comets that were close to hitting the planet but were stopped by the planet's strong gravity. As of 2023  there are 146 in Saturn's orbit with the biggest being Titan and the smallest named Aegaeon. Using telescopes was the only way that we could see Saturn until  we sent probes to Saturn. The James Webb space telescope has captured some stunning images of Saturn that were released in June of 2023. These images show the planet’s  rings in high detail. Several of Saturn's moons are visible in the images.
