We need to study this concept to try to identify a genetic mutation from their disease.We are currently looking for more DNA samples from the Sphynx cat.

The science concept of a sphynx cat is that their hairless appearance is primarily due to genetic mutation in the KRT71 gene, which is responsible for keratin production, leading to underdeveloped or inactive hair follicles and results in a lack of fur.

Sphynx cats are known for being affectionate, sociable, and intelligent, making them great companions and therapy pets. They are also popular with people who have cat allergies.

Felinology is the study of cats. The term is of Latin- Greek origin and comes from the Latin word felinus( of cats, feline) and the Greek-logos (science). Felinology is concerned with studying the anatomy, genetics, Physiology, and breeding of domestic and wild cats

Dr.Leslie Is a famous scientist who studies felinology . But I will be talking about the sphinx cat. She studied it to figure out what causes its hairlessness. She said it was due to a mutation in the Keratin 71 gene.
