Science Concept & Application
Llamas are one of God's creations and deserve to be studied. The first reason we need to study them is because they have antibodies. In modern times these antibodies have been used to stop the Covid-19 virus. We can use the study of their antibodies to make vaccines.
Another reason to study llamas is they don’t like canines. When canines intrude their space they stomp and charge. If you are thinking about going into the goat and sheep farming business, you might research buying a llama to protect them. If you already have livestock that are being harassed by canines, this might be a solution for your problem. Finally, a reason to study llamas is for transportation. They are good for trips in mountainous regions and in wooded areas. They are pack animals like camels, where they can carry your belongings. They can carry hundreds of pounds or more. They also can travel 15 to 20 miles a day. In conclusion we can study them for covid-19 vaccines, sheep and goat protection, and transportation. Every creation of God is important. |
Career
There are a couple different careers that study llamas, one of those are llama trainers. In the U.S.A llama trainers can make anywhere from 25,000 to 50,000 U.S.D a year. They study body language, communication patterns, and llama’s psychology. They work on teaching llama’s commands, socialization, and behavior modifications. They also work on tasks like participating in therapy work, leading, and packing.
Scientist
I chose Dr. Jason Mclellen, as my famous scientist. His team collaborated to create an antibody that stopped the virus that caused Covid-19. They came up with this from taking antibodies from llamas. He plays an important part in Covid- 19 vaccines and RSV. He also is a UT vaccine scientist. He has earned many awards, and he will be entered into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in May.
